GPS for autopilot

The autopilot integrates with GPS via serial interface (RS-232).
It provides lateral navigation based on basic NMEA messages from GPS.
I’ve built a simple GPS unit based on GY-GPS6MV2 unit with TTL-to-RS232 serial level converter based on MAX232ESE chip and linear power regulator based on uA78M05IDCY.
Input voltage: 5-25 V
Current: 80 mA
